Setting up geOShell involves using the registry, so remember "use at your own risk". But it's not likely anything will go wrong!

Before you do any of this, you need to set geOShell as your shell.

First, unzip geOShell to C:\geoshell and set the Shell=xxxx line in your system.ini to shell=c:\geoshell\geoshell.exe, as you would with any shell. Then reboot your system. For more info about doing this have a look at Setting Up Shells.
When you start geOShell for the first time the default registry settings will be created.
